Snow Fun!

Well we went sledding for a 2nd...and 3rd this this weekend. All the snow that dumped on us Friday, 4 inches or more, I never measured, has been perfect to play in. On Friday we rode sleds around the neighborhood and I drove to get S from work because the buses stopped working. Saturday Little Lady had a birthday party to attend and after the party we headed out to the hill. The hill it just around the corner from our house so it is great. First trip down the hill and Little Lady smacked straight into a tree. She was scared more than anything, though she does have a nice little bruise on her head. We forced her to go again hoping that she would get past the fear part. She liked it but still insisted we go home. So we did. She promised she would try again in the morning. So today we headed back out to the hill and it went much better. We were there for a little over an hour and no major injuries to report. She is happy sledding and not afraid! This is what winter is all about.

This was our Friday attempt with Daddy to get over the tree crash.

She likes it

Laughs and smiles the whole time

My head hurts. I want to go home.

She had her face painted as a butterfly at the birthday party. It was the first time she has allowed this to happen.

Can we please go home now

On the walk home

WEEEEEEEEEEE

Putting Daddy to work pulling everyone this time.

Little Lady decided to take a turn pulling the boys

Day 2...So far so good.

Mommy, I did it!

Yep they had fun.

Lets go that way!

LL insisted that I go, even though I was not in my snow gear.

One last tired walk up the hill.

The last ride of the day.

Getting crafty

Sometimes you just need to get a little crafty. I love it and so does Little Lady. I love using my cricut that S purchased for me last year for Christmas and since finding a few good craft stores here in Warsaw I am able to get crafty when the mood strikes. Here are a few of my latest projects. S and Little Lady got in on the action too.

This was our coffee table before. Chalkboard contact paper made a great play area for Little Lady. We made roads, drew lots of pictures, and played plenty of games. Kinda sad to see it go.

I didn't think to take a picture but there is no damage to the finish of the table after removing this. It has been on the table for a year and seen plenty of love.

Finished product! I put two tables together. Cut a mattress pad for padding (I could not find upholstery foam), and covered it in an old curtain I had. Ta-Dah! a lovely Ottoman.

Next up. Christmas for the Marines. I made them each a coffee mug and then filled it with the goods to make some hot chocolate.

Little Lady wrote each of them a card and drew a picture.

We have to have cupcakes for Mommy's birthday Daddy

Sprinkle time

There are never enough sprinkles in the world for this kid

Yummy Yummy birthday treat.

Our window decorations this year. I love the hanging ornaments

Handprint art is my favorite.

So I can't rotate these once I added them to the blog...

Finished product. My best advice. HOT GLUE! I use it to attach all my decorations to the doors and things. It peels right off when done.

My little Christmas village

I filled a jar with Ornaments. I gotta love pintrest for the easy yet beautiful decorating ideas.
