Botanical Gardens WARSAW

One of the things I wanted to check out this summer was the botanical gardens. After a great morning in the park playing and feeding the ducks we walked down the street and we were there. It was nice. Smaller than I thought but there were lovely flowers growing. Lots of space for the kids to explore the paths. Cute little hideaways where sitting on a bench in the shade with a book would be perfect. A great fountain if you like to hear running water. Lily ponds (No frogs. We looked) and plenty of butterflies. It was a hot day and the sprinklers were on. The kids could not help themselves and all of this fun was only 8 PLN!!

Looking for ducks

There they are!

Everyone feed the ducks.

So much fun exploring the Botanical Gardens

Absolutely could not help herself. She had to get wet.

Train Museum

During our summer of fun we visited the train museum. The kids were excited to see the trains but first we had to get in. The lady working the counter was clearly not a fan of children. She yelled at the kids (in polish), she snapped at the moms, she even was grumpy about giving change. There were lots of models for the kids to look at. Even some working train models that the kids could put some money in to make work. Of course each kid wanted to do it. Once they all had turns we went outside to climb on some full size trains. The kids ran around outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. Though it was an hour and a half of fun it was not the full day we thought it would be and I don't think I need to go back any time soon. As most things were in polish and the models were not behind glass which was just asking for trouble with a bunch of kids. It made me on edge being in there because Little Lady loves to touch things.

Photography Saddle

Wow. I forgot how good it feels to get behind the lens. How much fun it is to capture moments and emotions. I am truly thankful to Ashley for giving me a chance to get behind the lens again and back in the photography saddle. She kept me entertained during a particularly difficult week. It occupied my time and my mind can't wander while I am focusing on the pictures. I had a great time and now I realize I need to get back to taking pictures and finish my classes I was taking at this time last year.

Complements of Ashley! I don't care what it takes. lol

I just love all of her expressions

Bbqs and carnivals

We We What a Saturday! We woke up and were happily all together again as S has been doing a lot of travel. I spent the morning making donuts and cookies. S and Little Lady played and watched tv. We then headed to the fall BBQ. We ate hot dogs and sauages. Cooked a few s'mores. It was a great way to spent a few hours on a beautiful fall day. We came home showered off the smoke and then LL had a nap while S and I worked on computer stuff. Then we headed out to the carnival. It was a great time. We rode as many rides as we could. Had a bunch of laughs
and enjoyed the largest cotton candy we have ever seen. We were a happy sticky mess!
