Well we made it. It was a pretty painless experience. As usual I built myself up for a fight about the cats and too many carry ons but none of it happened. Driving from Chicago to Detroit wasn't as simple as we thought but not terrible. The problem was our plane landed and we were in Chicago during rush hour. It took us an hour and a half to just cross Chicago! So instead of 4 hours it was closer to 6 with stops, construction, and traffic. Not too bad though. I would do it again. 

Now Little Lady has been enjoying cousin time and America. So far she has been thrilled with TV, overjoyed that she can reach light switches, confused by the lever on toilets instead of a button, and happy to eat lunch in a restaurant. 

We are glad to be back.
