Science center

Today we actually got up early and ventured out for the day. Woohoo. That never happens. We met up with some friends and hit the science center. We have been here once before and had a great time so we're really looking forward to going again. We were unable to get tickets in advance. This meant that we had to get there early to get a chance to get in. We got tickets and were admitted to the buzz room (kids under 6 area) right away. This part is great. Less crowded and everything is at a shorter level for the little ones. The girls had a blast with the water and building supplies. Then we checked out the rest of the science center. The kids loved the part about the human body. Testing their speed, strength, reach, etc it was fun. After several hours of fun we were hungry. We left in search of a pizza place. We found the most delicious smelling place ever a few blocks away. Unfortunately it was full. They only had 4 tables and there was no chance of getting in. True to polish restaurant fashion. I never will understand the need for reservations everywhere, every time. We left the area and went to a classic stand by near the embassy. Had a lovely lunch and then finished some errands and headed home for the day. It is now 5:30pm and we are counting the hours until bedtime. It was a fun but exhausting day for all of us.
