California

We made it to California! We visited with S's sister Jane, her husband, and daughter. Little Lady had a great time playing with her cousin Nikole and we had a nice visit.  We went on the tram way up the mountain in Palm Springs. It was a great day to get out and enjoy the forest. We walked among the ceder trees and the girls loved climbing on the rocks. We went to a trampoline park and Little Lady was in heaven jumping like crazy. When we first arrived we bought only an hour and that seemed short. Then 20 minutes in and the adults were exhausted. We were counting the minutes until the hour was over! After we finished our visit with Jane and Rian we drove to San Diego. We checked into our really really really budget motel (it never said MOTEL in the description) and then went to find the beach. We walked along the boardwalk, had some ice cream, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. We spent the next 2 days at Zoos enjoying animals. Then we went to the USS midway aircraft carrier. Little Lady thought it was one giant jungle gym. She loved climbing all over the ship. We ended our trip with a day at the beach and enjoying one last meal with Jane and Rian at Hodad's Burgers. Those things are amazing! Little Lady ate a cheeseburger for the first time and loved it! Who knew! It was a great trip and even better family time. We needed this little bit of vacation.
